Frequently Asked Questions
Questions we are actually asked, answered without marketing language. If yours is not here, call or message us.
What does OMLINUX actually sell?
Shared hosting on cPanel, Windows hosting on Plesk, cloud VPS with root access, and dedicated servers. Published plans run from ₹199/mo for Starter Shared to ₹15,999/mo for a Dedicated 64. Every plan we sell, with its full specification and price, is on the pricing page — there is no unlisted catalogue.
Are prices in rupees, and do they include GST?
Prices are in Indian rupees and exclude GST. 18% GST is added at checkout. If your business is GST-registered you can claim that as input tax credit, which is why we quote the ex-GST figure by default — the toggle on the pricing page switches the whole table to GST-inclusive if you would rather compare that way.
Will my price go up when I renew?
No. We do not run introductory pricing, so there is no first-term discount that expires: you renew at the price you signed up at. Paying annually costs ten months' price for twelve months of service — that is a genuine 17% saving, not a first-year rate.
Is there a setup fee?
No. Every published plan has a setup fee of ₹0. The first invoice is the plan price plus GST, nothing else.
Where are your servers?
In four places, and only one of them is ours. We built and operate our own facility in Rajkot, Gujarat. In Ahmedabad, Navi Mumbai and Helsinki we rent rack space and run our own hardware inside someone else's building. The datacentres page names the operator of every site, because which is which changes what we are able to promise you.
Which control panel do I get?
Linux shared hosting comes with cPanel, and Windows hosting with Plesk — both included in the plan price, both managed and patched by us. Cloud VPS and dedicated servers ship without a panel: you get root (or Administrator) access and install whatever you prefer.
Can I pay for a VPS by the hour?
Yes. Cloud VPS can be billed hourly — ₹1.50/hr for VPS 2, ₹2.90/hr for VPS 4 and ₹5.50/hr for VPS 8 — or monthly, whichever suits the workload. Shared hosting, Windows hosting and dedicated servers are billed monthly or annually only.
How do I order, and what happens after I pay?
Pick a plan from the pricing or hosting pages and follow the order flow; a client-area account is created as part of it. We check the details on new accounts before full ordering and billing access is unlocked — while that is pending you can still sign in, open a support ticket and talk to us. You are told where your order stands at every step.
Do you back up my data?
Do not assume that we do. We have not published a backup policy, so there is no backup entitlement in your plan — keep your own copies. Ask us what is currently in place for your specific plan before you rely on anything, and we will tell you honestly. This is stated the same way in our SLA, which explicitly does not cover data loss.
What uptime do you guarantee?
Our commitments, the service-credit schedule and the hardware replacement targets are all in the SLA, along with a worked example showing exactly what a credit is worth in rupees. We publish a figure only where we are willing to be held to it; where we do not commit to a number, the SLA says so plainly instead of printing one. Note also that at the three partner facilities we do not control hardware response times and do not promise them.
How quickly does support respond?
Our first-response targets are in the SLA: 15 minutes for a service that is completely down, an hour for a major fault, four hours for a minor one. Those are the targets we work to from the moment a ticket is raised. We have not published staffed support hours, so please do not read them as a promise of round-the-clock cover — if 24-hour response matters to your business, ask us what cover is in place before you order.
Will you migrate my existing website for me?
Often, but we do not make a blanket free-migration promise, because migrations range from a ten-minute cPanel transfer to a fortnight of untangling. Tell us what you are moving — the current panel, how many sites, roughly how much data — and we will tell you what it involves and what, if anything, it costs, before you commit.
Do you offer a money-back guarantee?
We do not publish one, and we would rather say that than advertise a refund window with conditions attached. What limits your risk is the term: the minimum commitment on any plan is a single month, so you can run us for one month at the monthly price and leave if we do not suit you.
Can I put my own hardware in your racks?
In Rajkot, that is a conversation worth having — it is our building, so colocation is something we can actually arrange. We do not publish colocation pricing because it depends on rack units, power draw and connectivity, so talk to us with those numbers and we will quote.
Still not answered?
Ask before you order rather than after. We would rather talk you out of the wrong plan than sell it to you.
